Welcome to my new site. What do you think? Nifty, non?
It's been a hell of a renovation. But it's been what I've been trying to do ever since I first hand-coded an entry. I knew I wanted a site that managed all the stuff I had to say, kept it in order and grouped it meaningfully. Six years ago I needed a content management system, I just didn't know it. I struggled along by hand for a while, went to Xanga for a couple of years and then finally got back to this site with Blogger. But this… this is what I really wanted to be able to do.
Don't mind the holes around the place. They're being filled in as we speak. I wanted to be able to bring all the stuff I'd written into one place. It's taking a while. I've been participating actively in a variety of online communities for six years. That's a lot of writing.
Click around the place. It's all a bit new, so some of the links might not quite be dry yet. If you find a sticky link, drop me an email (up in the top right) so I can fix it.
Have a look at some of these entries. See the delicate inlay work? Done by hand, that is, quality work. Had to be, Movable Type doesn't import entries from Xanga, nor does it import comments from either ReBlogger or Xanga. Every single one of those suckers was done by hand. Good thing I love you guys.
There are some real antiques around the place. I don't have exact dates for when I first started hand-coding diary entries online, so I've used the date the material first appeared online as a basis. Some of this material is positively venerable (and some of the jokes even older.)
If you got booted here by my redirect page, please forgive the sudden change and don't forget to update your bookmarks on your way out.
I expect there will be some tweaking still to do, so keep your hard hats on for a couple more weeks.
Now I think I'll go curl up in a corner with a nice cup of tea and admire my handiwork.
« No, really?Ghost and I are busy doing the tourist thing for a couple of weeks while his mate Shane is staying with us. We dragged Shane down to Healesville Sancturary to see some native aminals. He managed to be a total sneak and stayed behind the camera for the entire time, but here are some of the shots we took on the day:

*Bomwat--a wombat, just more satisfying to say. Go on, say it... bomwat.
Monkey Business
I've been mainlining junk since Shane arrived, but just before he showed up, I dropped another 2 fat
. Dreading weigh in tomorrow, though. Eeep.
What's all this monkey business about, then?
« No, really?Would appreciate a few good vibes sent in the direction of Ghost's father. He's just found out he is seriously ill. There is only one thing worse than being seriously ill and far away from home, and that's being far away from someone you love who is seriously ill. So some vibes for my boy would be appreciated too.
On a much lighter note, I feel it's only fair to say...
| LOOK OUT! ïòð |
| ladymisstee is a radioactive squirrel!! |
Which would explain an awful lot.
Monkey Business
Heavens, has it been that long since I last updated? Well, I've lost just over a staggering 9
since then, despite my best attempts to lure them back on with creme caramel tart and the like. And if those cheeky boys at RMIT don't stop twisting my arm to have a beer with them, the little buggers (the
, not the cheeky RMIT boys) will be climbing back on soon!
What's all this monkey business about, then?
« No, really?
