[begin blatant plea for sympathy and snuggles]
As a few of you know, I'm madly running around preparing for a trip to the US at the end of the month. I have a day-long tutorial to prepare for to deliver over there to 100+ attendees with a dry run of the tutorial to present to current clients on Thursday, current project work to wrap up (all my deadlines are the week before I fly out, of course), and holiday plans to make.
On top of that, a friend is coming to stay with me for three weeks the week after I get back.
I have a lot on my plate.
Which is why I'm not appreciating the humour of the 60 day eviction notice I received at home last night.
Literally dozens of new apartment blocks have been built around me recently. The landlord (may lobster-sized boils plague his arse for the remainder of his days) must have found out the exorbitant amount of rent they are charging and decided to slap a little paint on and cash in. But to do that, he needs to evict everyone from the building. Including my brother, who lives upstairs.
Sigh.
Granted, I have my health, my family and my friends. But I have no money to move, no time to look for a new house and absolutely no fucking inclination to do so anyway because I adore my little piece of the world.
I think I'm going to cry.
That is all.
[end blatant plea for sympathy and snuggles]
that really sucks the big one. why can't he just jack up the rent instead of evicting you? makes no sense to me at all. :-( hope you find a nice place when you get back.
Hang in Tree. These things so often end up well. Faith!
Yes, I agree with VM... This may actually be a really GOOD move. Not very good TIMING, but things usually happen in big waves, so ride the tidal wave, honey! You'll be okay. I'll pray for a better place to open up. ;-)
Blessings and power to you, sister.
Hang in,
The Duchess
I have a nice, comfy couch you can stay on if you need it. It's in Canada, but the offer is always open.
I have to agree with VM too. . . sometimes the things that seem the worst at the time work out for the best.
*hugs* Everything will be fine. . . GOOD LUCK!!

I agree with Elsa, forced changes in our life are usually because we need to move elsewhere to get some really good blessing. Still, I know that right now it feels like shit. :-( Cat{{{Tree}}}
i'm sorry, friend. i'll be house sitting for a long time if you wanna come and stay :-). it's a nice house.
the landlord sounds like an ignorant ass of a man.
i'm sure that things will all come together.
i'm not sure that you want snuggles from a 19-year-old guy. just in case you do, though, here's a hug:

just a drive by to see how you be, Miss Tree.
Okay, I am missing your blogs. Hope everything is good with you, dear.

I would check it out with the Tennats Tribunal (can't spell it, hope you know what I mean) and see what they have to say - I am not sure that the landlord can do that.
You have my sympathy & snuggles, because moving sucks the big one!
Good luck hun! *fingers crossed for you*
