Bomwats*, dingoes and eagles, oh my!

Ghost and I are busy doing the tourist thing for a couple of weeks while his mate Shane is staying with us. We dragged Shane down to Healesville Sancturary to see some native aminals. He managed to be a total sneak and stayed behind the camera for the entire time, but here are some of the shots we took on the day:

Ghost and I get up close and personal with the natives.

I counsel a junky parrot (no, really it's just sugar water in the syringe!).

Off-camera to the left was a toddler in a pram, I kid you not.

A demon drop-bear, just waiting for its next victim.

Ghost gets to pet a bomwat*--his favourite native, after me of course.

Just the coolest thing ever, a wedge-tailed eagle.

Gratuitous arm-length shot.

*Bomwat--a wombat, just more satisfying to say. Go on, say it... bomwat.

Monkey Business

I've been mainlining junk since Shane arrived, but just before he showed up, I dropped another 2 fat . Dreading weigh in tomorrow, though. Eeep.

What's all this monkey business about, then?

hey Tree - Mosta thinks the dingo is 'cuuuute and I think same of you and Ghost. That pic was from an Avia ad, and if you can't find it, I can email it to you if you post me. If there is an email link on this page, I don't see it. You guys look happy!

Bomwats are almost as cute as possums!

Oh, yeah - "mainlining junk" is a slang term (an old one) for shooting herion over here.
I had to look twice and laugh.
