Dear Nice English Nurse at the Blood Bank
That notation on my chart? The one that says 'difficult veins'? Yeah, that one.
It's not a challenge, OK?
You are not supposed to interpret that line as, "Oh, they can't be THAT hard."
And I don't care how often you apologise as you have to adjust the needle while it's EMBEDDED IN MY FLESH, because you are too incompetent to realise that 'difficult veins' means 'makes hospital staff say things like, "I'm glad I don't have to take blood from you!"' and you've managed to completely miss the vein and you have to dig around IN MY FLESH to find it again.
You suck.

Agh. I had one of those when I gave last week. And I have good veins. Damn needle stung the entire time I was giving blood, and my arm ached for the rest of the night.
Good for you for giving, though. :-)
hmmm
Ya know there are times when I'm glad I can't donate blood. (Autoimmune disorder, whee! And no, not HIV, which is what everyone asks me)
I had a very sweet kind nurse nickname me turnip once.
*sigh*
*hug*

"Difficult veins", "Dangerous curves", "Runs with scissors", "May contain nuts"? How many warning signs do we have to post around you?
And thanks for the reminder that I need to donate blood again soon.
