Sorry this has taken so long. Life went and distracted me and I've been periscope down for a couple of weeks.
However, photos you asked for and photos you shall have!
Let the meme-age begin!
The fabulous Cat went and asked for the most difficult image of all, a huntsman spider. Given my arachnophobia, I had to ask Ghost to Google an image for her and he went one better, a whole information page about the ugly fuckers. By the way, their size (15cm) translates to about 6". [shudder]
She also asked for a picture of my favourite view. I'm cannibalising an image from an earlier entry here, but this happens to be one of my favourite views in the world.
Her third request was one echoed by Shannon, so I'll leave it until last.
Utter sweetie Isles wanted to see our bedroom, my favourite pub (The Flying Duck) and a photo of Ghost and I. Cute, aren't we?
The lovely Jen's request for a photo of my ridiculously small handbag collection reveals that she knows me too well! Note the Coke can for scale and, yes, that is a minature purple velvet Buffy backpack.
The divine Deevaa wanted to see my favourite piece of art (Splendour by David Laity). I adore this man's work, his nudes are so luscious and ripe and his colours so vibrant. One day, I'm going to own an original by him. Deevaa also asked for a picture of my favourite place for coffee (I don't drink it so I don't have one), and my favourite body parts on me (not entirely work safe, but I'm proud of my girls!) and my boy (work safe and snuggly and secure and warm and that shirt is micro-suede and oh-so-pettable).
Delightfully delicious Kali asked to see the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning (Carried Up To The Constellations by Henri Matisse, maybe not work safe). I love this print, it's so simple, yet so dynamic and so beautifully erotic. Yum. Kali also wanted to see where I usually read my books.
The glamorously enciente Pammikins wanted to see my favourite place to run away to (it's a beautiful, secluded, little cottage in Daylesford where Ghost and I spent a very romantic weekend). She also wanted to see a picture of my mum (she's the one on the left, I'm the bride on the right and Chiliflower is my glamorous friend in the middle). Finally Pam wanted to see the place where I usually go online (currently in the dining room).
The lovely (and shrinking) Minarae wanted an update on my African Violet. Well, as you can see, the silly thing is going berserk. Buggered if I know why!
Finally, the images you've been waiting for. I've not done them as pop ups so you can see them side by side and see just how many monkeys I've actually lost (88
at the time this photo was taken.)

The photo on the left was taken Christmas Day, 2003. The photo on the right was taken Oct 27, 2004. What a difference 10 months makes, eh?
I love getting glimpses of people's lives...
and you look simply fabbooo after a year of discipline...
but what I really have to say is:
you SHOULD be proud of them girls!
I know bodacious tatas when I see 'em.
As for the boys...well, they certainly will be boys. (I was careful not to mention our actual rent in the blog, which was misleading...our rent is verrrry low. The cost of the t.v. was only one month of his salary, which doesn't sound so very bad, does it?)
Wow! Spectacular! Way to go!
Goddamn Tree! Very nice work. I would say more, but then yer boy would call and give me shit about it. So, I'm just going to transmit all the specific compliments to you telepathically...
.......
...there.
Seriously, you look great.
You look mahvelous and still pleasingly voluptuous.
Tell Ghost thank you for the spider info. That is quite a magnificent creature. The nematode parasite on one of them looked very painful. I hope the photographer disengaged it from that poor little guy.
All the pictures were wonderful. I like your favourite artist's eye, too.
Wow, you look wonderful! Keep up the great work girl! i know it's a battle that i too have been trying to conquer all my life... damn those gene pools! lol....
I swear I commented on this post?
*grumbles*
I'd have bet money I'd told you how amazing you look, and how much I like your new haircut.
Hrumm...... I think I mentioned I was proud of you also.
Lunch, soon?
Tree!
Thanks for the photo's -- all great.
You look absolutely fab! Well done.
I xxx
ASTOUNDING!
I tend to think people look worse after loosing weight than before, maybe it's the temptation to go too far and turn into Callista Flockheart, but damn you look fine girl! Definitely the exception to the rule!
bum! I'm sure i typed in some requests also *Pout*
maybe i thought the how does it look was the I'll take it - that's a mite confusing which one fixes the damnnn thing in place for all time? bum. i think i requested, amongst other things: a bellydance in action shot . . .
weeehhhaaaa looking fabulouososossa!!!! hurrah!
Holy fucking cow, woman, you look amazing! I wish I had an inch of your self-discipline.
And that cottage in Daylesford is gorgeous! I want to be there right now.
