Thought this was an appropriate way to finally make my come-back. Not many countries on there, but one new one added from the last trip.
So tired. So very, very tired. Totally underestimated the sheer amount of travel involved and the amount of socialising that would go on. Totally did not expect to be working 48 hours after we landed, having just spent 40 hours either in the air or sitting in airports. Still not capable of constructing complete sentences or distinguishing elbow from arse, even with a flashlight and a copy of Grey's Anatomy.
Despite all this, the real reason I haven't blogged is that I have so much writing in my head right now, I just don't know where to begin. There are the anecdotes from the trip about terrorism, security, Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs and roads with unspeakably stupid names. There is design porn and articles I want to write about design and delight (and if I manage to work in Destiny, Dream, Death, Destruction, Desire and Despair that would be a bonus). There are budding site designs and redesigns. There are clients who keep picking up goal posts and running around the field with them. There are 2880 pages of work I need to create for said client by next Wednesday and long, complex plans involving blunt objects, blood and screaming (all the clients, not mine).
Will get to them all in good time. In the meantime, patience all and I think I'll go take a nap...
I take it comic shopping and a few relaxing pints on Sunday are not feasible then?
{{{TREE}}} You poor thing. You're going to need a vacation from returning from vacation!
Holy HELL, woman. Where did you go? Sounds like you came to MY neck of the woods?
Well, welcome home, take a dip in the bathtub, a lonnnnng nap, and I'll read you again when you're more coherent. :-)
I hope you're settled back in and recovered and almost sane again. (It took Kevin and I a month to recover from our UK/Ireland trip.)
Even though it was part of the overall exhaustion-causers, I'm so glad that you were able to come visit us. It was so terrific to be able to give you a real hug in person and get to run out and play with you and the rest of the Thingies! You're a doll, and the world needs more of you. (Then you might not get so tired, trying to see all of us.)
P.S. The Timtams lasted two weeks, through an exercise of supreme self-control.
*hugs*

(finally digging herself out of the past few months of activity)
